Hi, I'm Laura Darbro, the new 2nd Grade teacher at LBCS. My husband and I have recently moved from London, England to Roseville with our two year old son Alex.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Leeds followed by my Multiple Subject teaching credential from Middlesex University, both of which are in England.
This will mark the start of my 10th year of teaching. I have previously taught Grades 2-7 and have loved different things about the different ages. Throughout my teaching career I have been driven to ensure the differing needs of all the children in my class have been met academically, socially and emotionally. This led me to obtain my Education Specialist credential which has enabled me to learn so much about helping each and every child fulfill their true potential.
Outside of school I love traveling with my family - from day trips exploring the local areas to exciting trips overseas! I have been very fortunate to have visited so many wonderful countries each with their own unique history and culture. I now can't wait to have the opportunity to further my traveling experiences here in the United States.
I feel so privileged to be working with such great children, parents and staff at LBCS and I look forward to an unforgettable first year here.
