My name is Greg Carson. I teach 7th and 8th grade Math at LBCS and am the Loomis Basin Athletic League Commissioner. I was raised in Folsom where I graduated from Folsom High. I then continued my education at Sacramento State and was an active member of the fraternity, Kappa Sigma. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I furthered my education at CSUS and obtained my Administration Credential and Masters Degree.
When I am not teaching, I love to hang out with my family and friends. My family consists of my wife Stephanie, who is a stay at home mom and ex-high school math teacher, my son Andrew, who is 8, my daughter Charlotte, who is 7, and my 5 year old Black and Tan Coonhound/Anatolian Shepherd mix named Timber. For fun, I like to play sports (basketball, softball, golf, bowling) whenever given the chance. I enjoy traveling, gardening, and being outside with my family.
I’m excited to be a part of the wonderful team at LBCS for my 12th year. The faculty, students, and parents at LBCS are amazing. They truly are like part of my family. I like to create a safe and fun environment that allows students to feel free to express themselves in the classroom. I look forward to meeting you all and building a passion for math and learning.
