Mrs. Abbie Miskell

Welcome!

My Name is Abbie Miskell. I love being a part of LBCS. I truly believe that our school is such a special place. I'm proud to be part of a school who is supporting and encouraging students to learn and enact positive changes in our world.

I graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Liberal Studies. I also have a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Reading from William Jessup University. I started my teaching journey in the Loomis Union School District in 2021. I’ve been a support teacher, reading intervention teacher, and am now loving teaching 1st grade. 1st grade is so special! They're learning how to read, how to apply their math skills, and are inquiring a variety of topics that range from empathy, to the solar system, to changes throughout history.

I'm married to my amazing husband, Tyler. We have a golden retriever, Scout, who is so loved and spoiled. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, taking day trips to the beach, reading, and enjoying the outdoors! Swimming, hiking, and kayaking are some of our favorite spring and summer activities.

Teaching is something that I love and am so grateful that I get to spend my time with your kiddos each day. My goal is to make sure that you and your kiddo feel cared for and supported. I’m looking forward to making sure your students know they’re cared for while supporting them in their learning and growing. I am so excited to celebrate all their hard work and accomplishments throughout the school year!
