Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Christy D'Ambrosio (Ms. D) and I am so excited
to be a part of Loomis Basin Charter School. This will be my 15th year here at LBCS
and my 20th year teaching. I have taught 3 years of preschool, 2 years of 2nd grade,
11 years of 1st grade, and 3 years of Kindergarten. I was born and raised in the Bay
Area, and then relocated to the Granite Bay/Roseville area when I was 15 years old.
After completing college and working in the business world, I realized I needed to be
where my heart's desire was...with children! Shortly after completing the Teaching
Credential Program, I became a mom, the greatest joy of my life. My children (Ricky-24
and Caitie-22) and I enjoy traveling, boating, skiing, swimming, reading and most
importantly learning! I feel it is a privilege to be an educator. One of the greatest joys in
life is to watch a child grow and learn. I believe the perfect recipe for learning is to first
provide a safe and loving environment, set the bar high, instill a love for learning, and to
create challenging yet fun classroom experiences. I am excited to meet and to get to
know your children, and look forward to getting to know you, working with you, and
celebrating your child's growth. What an amazing adventure this will be!
