Kristin Rock -- 6th Grade Math and Science

Hello, I am Kristin Rock and I am thrilled to be a part of the Loomis Basin Charter School community. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Psychology and M.Ed. in Teaching. While the beginning of my career was in the younger grades, I have been at the middle school level for over a decade. Students’ sense of humor, curiosity, and ability to tackle big problems makes 6th grade an amazing grade to teach!

After living in Nebraska for eight years, where my husband was stationed with the Air Force, we are thrilled to be back in this area and close to family. I have taught in Santa Barbara, Sacramento, and Nebraska, with a brief hiatus from the classroom when I stayed at home with our boy/girl twins, who will also attend LBCS. Between our children and two pups, we keep busy!

I am passionate about developing students who are thoughtful citizens and community leaders and believe that strong home/school partnerships lead to incredible outcomes for students! I look forward to working with you every step of the way to make the most of your child’s 6th-grade year!
