Mrs. Abbie Williams

Hi! My Name is Abbie Miskell, formally known as Ms. Williams!  

I’m so excited to join the 1st grade team at Loomis Basin Charter School. I graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Liberal Studies. I also have a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Reading. I started my teaching journey in the Loomis Union School District in 2021. I’ve been a support teacher at Loomis Grammar and Loomis Basin Charter and I have taught reading intervention at H Clarke Powers and Loomis Basin Charter. I’m excited to take all of my knowledge and apply it in the classroom!

I was born and raised in Placer County and am lucky to continue to be able to call it home. I live in Newcastle with my husband and our golden retriever, Scout. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, taking day trips to the beach, reading, and enjoying the outdoors!  

Teaching is something that I love and am so grateful that I get to spend my time with your kiddos each day. After having a teacher in high school who showed me how supportive and caring she was, I knew that I too wanted to be that person for all students. I’m looking forward to making sure your students know they’re cared for while supporting them in their learning. I am so excited to celebrate all their hard work and accomplishments throughout the school year!
