I am very excited to share with our school community, that LBCS is now authorized as an IB World School for our Primary Years Program (PYP) and our Middle Years Program (MYP)!  Our IB program teaches students to relate classroom experiences to the realities of the world and focuses on developing critical and compassionate thinkers. In addition, our program inspires student initiated action and community service.

The IB Primary Years Program focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer.  Elementary students connect subjects together and answer questions like: Who We Are, Where We Are in Place and Time, How We Express Ourselves, How the World Works, and How We Organize Ourselves.

The IB Middle Years Program encourages students to embrace and understand the connections between learning and the real world, and become reflective thinkers.  The IB middle school program explores Community and Service, Human Ingenuity, Environments and Health and Social Education.
