Melissa Patrick - PE and Reading Intervention
My name is Melissa Patrick and I am excited to be part of the LBCS community. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know your children as the Physical Education and Reading Intervention Teacher this year. I was born and raised in Southern California, where I attended California State University of Northridge, and received my bachelors in Liberal Studies. I went on to obtain my Teaching Credential and Masters in Education from Pepperdine University in 2005. I am passionate about physical education, health, nutrition, and fitness, and I’m looking forward to returning to the subjects I taught when I first started my teaching career.
My husband and I decided to relocate to the Auburn area in 2014 to be closer to family and raise our children, Lilly, Weiland, and Colton, in a beautiful, rural setting. Most weekends we can be found on a Loomis soccer field watching our children play the sport our entire family loves. When we are not at the soccer field, we spend most of our time in the outdoors. As a family, we enjoy boating, wakeboarding, camping, hiking, kayaking, or just hanging out.
I’ve always wanted to make a difference in the lives of children, and teaching allows me to share my passion for learning, and inspire the students I work with to be lifelong learners. I truly believe each child is capable of learning, and achieving success in my class, through hard work and dedication and I am looking forward to an amazing year.
