I love working at Loomis Basin Charter School. I am the Student Services Coordinator and I teach 6th Grade Language and Literature. I feel so lucky to have been a part of the amazingly supportive and caring community at LBCS since 2012.
Being a part of a child's education is the best job in the world. I love my students, and being a part of their journey through life is a significant responsibility that I do not take lightly.
I grew up in Salinas, went to UC Davis for my undergrad degree in Psychology, and went to UC Santa Cruz for my teaching credential and masters degree. I previously taught 3rd grade in Gonzales (a small town south of Salinas) and 4th grade in the Dry Creek School District in Roseville. My husband (Jake) and I were married in 2007, and we have two kids (our daughter Aidyn and our son James) that never cease to amaze us and make us laugh (except when they're driving us crazy of course) ;). Outside of school I enjoy taking road trips to Pacific Grove with the fam to visit my parents, running, and reading.
Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or comments. I am looking forward to a great year.
