Hello!  My name is Kim Dietz and I absolutely love being part of the Loomis Basin Charter School family. I have been actively involved in the Charter School since its inception (with my daughter Taylor), and I am currently beginning my 12th year as the MYP 7/8 science teacher.  I couldn't imagine a better place to be both professionally and personally.  I love seeing students and staff learning, laughing and caring for one another, their community and the world around them!

My husband Steve and I live in Granite Bay with our dog Gus.  We are enjoying our “empty nest” season, but always look for ways to connect and hang out with our kids (Matthew 25 and Taylor 22) and their significant others (who we love!!. Steve and I enjoy the outdoors and anything that gets us moving. My current passions are paddle boarding, hiking and golfing (kind of - the game is tough!). I also love a good book (historical fiction is my favorite) and music of all kinds.

I am looking forward to sharing my love of science with the students at LBCS. My goals in the classroom are to challenge students to do their best and grow as learners, encourage them to be risk takers and inquirers, and to foster a fun and safe learning environment.

Sincerely,

Kim Dietz
