Mrs. Liz Barberio

Hello Loomis Basin students and families!!

My name is Liz Barberio and I have been part of LBCS since 2010.  During my time here, I have taught 5th, 3rd and 6th grade.  I am excited to take on a new role this year of Student Services Support and Intervention. I feel blessed every day coming to school and being surrounded by supportive staff members, parents, and students. It is a very special place.

I was born and raised in San Juan Bautista, CA. I spent my sixth-grade year living abroad in Denmark with my family. For college, I went to the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, and studied abroad in Seville, Spain. It was amazing and I loved every minute of it, especially all of the traveling to other countries. I received my teaching credential at Chapman University and then went on to teach in Antioch, CA.  This past year, I earned my Administrative Credential through PCOE.

My husband and I decided to relocate to the Sacramento area in 2009. My kids, Giovanni and Nancy, keep us very busy with all of their sports and activities. Besides watching the kids’ sporting events, we really enjoy spending time up at the lake on the boat, taking long walks, fishing, riding bikes, swimming, and entertaining!

I look forward to working with you and your children this year!
