Mrs. Jennifer D'Antonio, 1st Grade Teacher
My name is Jennifer D’Antonio and I’m so excited to be part of the Loomis Basin Charter School community! Teaching is an absolute passion of mine and I enjoy every moment in my classroom. Every year brings something new and interesting. It’s an amazing experience to take part in the process of our young children growing and learning. I embrace our challenges and celebrate our successes. I love to see how each child discovers the world around them.
I’ve been in education for 19 years. For the first 5 years of my career, I was an instructional aide for an educational program, specializing in supporting students diagnosed with Autism. After graduating from Sonoma State University, I got my Teaching Credential. I’ve been an elementary school teacher for 14 years now. I taught a k-1 combination class for 1 year, 2nd grade for 3 years and 1st grade for 10 years. In 2015, I earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and an Administrative Credential. This was truly one of my biggest accomplishments! I’ve also had extensive training in arts integration and am eager to share my knowledge and skills with the staff, students and families at Loomis Basin Charter School.
I live with my husband, Jonathan and our two daughters, Katie and Lauren. We also have a dog named Daisy, a cat named Ace and LOTS of fish. My oldest daughter, Katie, will be in 3rd grade and my youngest daughter, Lauren, will be in Kindergarten, both at Loomis Basin Charter School. My children, pets and classroom take up most of my free time, but some other things I enjoy are playing soccer, going for walks and crafting (sewing, scrapbooking, etc.).
I’m looking forward to a year full of fun, learning and lots of adventures! I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!
