Erika Sloane

 

Originally from Ohio, I have lived in California for four years. I currently live in Folsom with my husband Shawn. Outside of teaching I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and the outdoors.

It is my goal to empower students to become life long learners and instill them with the belief that they can reach their goals. I challenge students to work harder and complete quality work they are proud to show others.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach third grade at an International Baccalaureate School. Third grade is the time when students form their own ideas about the world and explore new and more sophisticated concepts.

In the classroom, I promote a positive environment and work hard to build a community among my students. I value cooperation and collaboration both in the classroom and as I work with colleagues and parents. I think wonderful things can happen when we work together!
