Erica Van den Bogaerde

Hi, My name is Erica Van den Bogaerde (Mrs. Van). I am very excited to be teaching music at Loomis Basin Charter School this year. I grew up in Colorado and first came to California to attend UCLA. I live in Granite Bay with my husband and two children.

My music teaching experience includes classroom music as well as band and orchestra. I currently play cello in the Auburn Symphony. I believe that music plays an important role in education. Music not only enriches the lives of children, but also makes them better learners. I believe that children should learn about music by being actively involved with music. In my classes we will sing, move, and play instruments every day. I also have a special interest in multicultural music, so we will be learning about music from around the world. I look forward to meeting all of you
