Danielle Diepeveen
Hi! My name is Danielle Diepeveen and I am very excited to be joining Loomis Basin Charter School this year. I just moved to California this summer and live in Roseville with my Fiancée. We are getting married next summer! I have lived in Pennsylvania, right outside of Philadelphia, for most of my life and have taught first grade for the past 4 years there. Moving to California and teaching at an International Baccalaureate school are two adventures I am eager to embark on! I have a passion for traveling, discovering new places and learning about different cultures. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and have also been to Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and the BVI. Did I mention that I absolutely love the beach? It is my favorite place to visit, have fun, and read a good book at! I love being outside and am really looking forward to the sunny, warm weather in California.
To this day, I have never forgotten my first grade teacher and it is because of her that I am a teacher today! First grade is such an important year for students filled with lots of growth and new discoveries. It is my goal to empower all students to become lifelong learners and challenge them to always do their personal best. Together we will create a community of learners who care for, respect, and help each other while having fun learning. I value strong parent communication and involvement in my classroom and believe that great results come from working together. I am looking forward to a fantastic year ahead filled with many memories and learning adventures!
