Ways to Volunteer
Parents are required to sign a yearly commitment contract that includes service projects, code of student conduct, commitment to active parental participation and contribution to the school program, 30 hours a year of service, and participation in school events.
Parents that volunteer in the classroom or on field trips must be fingerprinted.

Here are some ways you can volunteer your time:
SCRIP Table:
• Daily volunteers in the mornings from 7:45 - 8:00 and at pickup time in the afternoon from 2:45 - 3:15 to give out information, take orders, help families sign up, and sell available SCRIP, etc.
Playground/Lunchtime Monitors:
• Mrs. Chute is always looking for extra help on the playground
Volunteers must be reliable and prompt
Library Help:
• Mrs. Chute has parent volunteers help her maintain the books in the library
In the Office:
• Mrs.Consulo needs reliable help for specific hours of the day
• A person to publish a weekly newsletter for the office
• Person to maintain the outside bulletin board once a month
(needs to be creative)
In the Classroom:
• Teachers will announce times volunteers are needed in the
classroom/volunteers must be committed to their times and reliable.
• Teachers will announce times when volunteers are needed for special
activities. Look for these announcements on their web sites.
Around the Campus Before School and On Weekends:
• Weekly leaf/dirt blowing off of campus sidewalks before school 7:30 A.M.
• Monthly weed pulling and general landscaping maintenance
• Monthly deep classroom cleaning
PTC
• Spring Social/Fundraiser in March – Volunteers are needed for arranging
auction items, set-up, clean-up, and more.

Ongoing parent involvement is also encouraged through membership or participation in the School Site Alliance as well as the Parent Teacher Club.
